The vision of our founder Mr Y. Arul is also recalled to remind us of his prayers, blessings and spiritual guidance. The birthday of our founder is celebrated on 24th June every year with great enthusiasm. The learners are always eager to show their marvellous performances on stage and they never fail to create memories that we will never forget. The celebration will have the same spirit of happiness, joy and positive emotions every year.
Investiture, the formal ceremony for conferring authority on our student leaders is held every year. The ceremony signifies the responsibilities that our office bearers must uptake. It also indicates the confidence that the school bestows in them. The chief guest confers badges and sashes to our leaders. The leaders pledged to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. The school community, after the ceremony gets over, moves in to congratulate their leaders with smiles and handshakes.
VIVACE, our Annual Sports meet, is conducted every year to show the importance of sports. This day is filled with various activities like athletics, drills, gymnastics and many more. A well synchronized March Past by the four houses of Yagappa is the peak of the event. After taking the Oath, the prominent and outstanding individual athletes of Yagappa carry the Olympic flame and proudly light the cauldron. Pursuant to this, our learners participate in various track events with great enthusiasm and to the cheers and roar of the spectators (parents, friends and well-wishers). The occasion is truly a beautiful rainbow of vibrant colors.
Independence day on August 15th is a day to remember our freedom fighters with thankfulness. At Yagappa, our learners from Pre-primary and primary grades dress up as their favorite freedom fighters and speak about their achievements. The Indian tricolour is unfurled and the school choir sets the pitch for the day with their patriotic songs. It is a day that fills our hearts with love and pride for our country and the will to do our best.
“A good teacher is like a candle"
Students express their gratitude for teachers by commemorating ‘Teacher’s Day’. They would fulfil their celebrations with graceful steps, vocals and other blissful activities. They enchant their dearest teachers. The teachers will always be fascinated by the way their children coordinate and work together to put up a fabulous show.
Children’s day celebration is a boon and a blast for all Yagappites. Teachers actively entertain all the kids with plays, games, dances, comedies and many more. Resting from the daily lessons, the learners relish the day with fun and laughter.
Diwali is one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism. It symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. It dates back more than 2,500 years, and in India, Diwali marks the biggest holiday of the year.
This day is filled with beautiful diyas all around our school. Along with the vibrant colours of rangoli, the strong aroma of the traditional sweets fills the air. Learners compete with each other to make the tastiest sweets. The little kids would rock the stage in their colourful cultural outfits. All the learners come together on this day to celebrate the festival of lights.
The Student council of our school organised the Renaissance, our first inter-school cultural fest, where learners from the three schools of Yagappa, compete with each other in a variety of competitions like Wi-Fi; Camera, Rolling, Action, Quiz and many more. The members of yester-years of Yagappa (YOY) come as judges and are all the time carried away by the performances of our learners. It is a wonderful time of the year to see our three schools interacting with each other and getting to know each other better in order to create the friendly atmosphere for learning and building relationships of understanding and on-going progress.
Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God. The captivating Christmas spirit encapsulates our school.
It is celebrated with sparkling lights and harmonious carols. From the tiny tots of Pre-primary to the senior Yagappites, everyone would sing beautiful, traditional Christmas carols. Students from various grades would dance jubilantly for rocking Christmas songs. The colossal choir in special robes is the highlight of our Christmas celebration.
The enchanting Christmas decorations, the dazzling Christmas tree, the divine nativity play, the melodious group song sung by the facilitators, the delectable Christmas cake and the tuneful carols will make every Christmas celebration an unforgettable one. It is indeed the fruit of the cooperation and hard work of all learners and facilitators.

Every year, our school puts up a grand show to bring to close yet another amazing year. Melange isn’t only about the rocking dance performances and the remarkable vocals. The glorious lights and music fill the air with nothing but joy and excitement. From the adorable moves of our tiny tots to the stunning dances and music performed by our seniors, they most certainly leave us with contented hearts.
