OUR FOUNDER

Mr Y. Arul, our founder, was born to Mrs P.A.Y. Arulanandhammal and Mr Yagappa Nadar on 24 June 1939. Mr Arul spent his formative years at St.Mary's School, Cuddalore under the love and care of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny. He continued his middle school education at Montfort School, Yercaud run by the Montfort Brothers of St.Gabriel.

The culmination of his efforts here, resulted in Mr Arul being placed fourth in the Anglo Indian Board examination. Further, he continued high school education as Pre University Education at Loyola College, Chennai. After successfully completing his school education, our founder pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree at Alaggapa University, Karaikudi. Hailing from a family of philanthropists, Mr Y Arul, a man of integrity with a strong emphasis on quality education, always nursed a dream to establish a centre of knowledge. A strong early education paves the way for cognitive and social development of the child and promotes life long learning. With this significant through, our founder brought his dream to fruition with the inception of Toddlers in 2006. This seed has sprouted, flourished and branched out into the Yagappa group of institutions.

Trust & Management

Yagappa school was started in 2007, conveniently nestled in the heart of the city, but secluded from the hustle of the busy environs. The next logical process was to provide the aspired international exposure for that holistic, overall development of the child. The Yagappa International School, under the aegis of the esteemed University of Cambridge (UK), was founded on the solemn stand to shape the future.

Mr Edward Arokiaraj - Director

It is only fitting that Mr Edward Arokiaraj, Director of Yagappa group of institutions, can be described as a lifelong learner. His never-ending journey of learning started from Montfort School, Yercaud. He completed the first leg of the journey, his schooling, from RSK School, Trichy. Our director moved onto the second leg of his journey by pursuing a bachelors degree in Commerce and further worked towards a bachelors degree in Law from the University of Madras, Chennai. His thirst for knowledge remained unquenched. Mr Edward Arokiaraj went on to complete a Diploma in Airline Ticketing and Marketing from International Air Transport Association, Geneva, Switzerland. Having an interest in acquiring knowledge in different fields, our director completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Travel and Hotel management from Loyola College, Chennai. Inspired by his father, Mr Y. Arul, our director has always taken the road less travelled by and thus Yagappa group of institutions has flourished.

Ar Keisar Arul Anand - Director, Educational Development

Mr Keisar Arul Anand is the Director of Educational Development at the Yagappa group of institutions. He did his schooling at Zion School, Kodaikanal. Mr Keisar Arul Anand pursued and successfully completed a bachelors degree in architecture from Hindustan College, Chennai. He went on to complete a masters degree in architecture from SRM college, Kattangulatur, Chennai. He is also a practising Architect in Thanjavur. Mr Keisar strategizes the overall layout for the academic year and coordinates the academic activities.

Mr Francis Yagappa – Director, Sports and Co-curriculars

A student of RSK school and Loyola College, Mr Francis was an accomplished sportsman and a student leader. Presently he is actively associated with social clubs. He is a progressive agriculturist and is intensively involved in modern agricultural practices. At Yagappa International School, Mr Francis guides the Faculty of Sports and Games and co-ordinates the cultural activities on campus. Mr Francis gets the young learners ready for the inter-school competitions.
