B.Poornisha, our very own darling gem who joined our family in KG has always been our lucky charm and have added innumerable glories to Yagappa. She has now been selected to represent India in Inline Hockey World Championships. This time she has made not only the school proud but the entire district of Thanjavur reverberates with her success story and are dumb stuck on how the child was able to make at this young age.
She has always been an inspiration to her fellow students by her aspiration and hard work in sports, co-curricular activities and academics. She is an all-rounder. She is a standing example for the saying " Hard work pays ". Yagappa School wishes Poornisha and the Indian team all the very best on the world championship. We pray and wish they win the title and make us even more proud.

We, at Yagappa International School celebrated our Annual Day on 19th March 2022 for our learners with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor. The programme commenced with the welcoming of our Chief Guests, School management members and our ever supportive parents. A mesmerizing programme entitled “Melange - A potpourri of fine arts” on the carnival theme was showcased by our learners.
Mr.Kanniyappan and Mrs. Priya from Canada graced the occasion with their presence and enthusiastically awarded our learners with certificates and medals. Our Hon’ble trustee Mrs. Mary Gnanam and our senior most faculty Miss. Stella awarded learners with merit certificates and medals of excellence for Olympiad examinations for the year 2020-2021. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and National Anthem. The exhilarating show was an unforgettable experience and left a lasting impression on the minds of everyone present.
The cultural event was indeed a visual treat for our dear audience. An array of events by our vibrant and enthusiastic Yagappites definitely aroused a deep awakening thought, that it is both academics and extracurriculars required to make it a better place for our future generations.
A Carnival Fest organized by our student council team enthralled the audience through an array of entertaining games and stalls.There was a festive atmosphere all around and parents were visibly excited to watch their children actively participate in various games. Our Annual Day Celebration was a celebration of culture, art, creativity and talent. In the exuberant atmosphere, one could see the skills and talent of the young learners being showcased with aplomb. The celebration proved to be a platform for our learners to come together & show their inherent talents.
28th February 2022
The National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur conducted an inter-school oratory competition to commemorate the Science Day on 26th February 2022. The topics given were "The great Indian scientist, My inspiration, 75 years of independence, India's achievements in science and technology".
Dhanya Thejeswini of Class X, who spoke about the great Indian scientist Vikram Sarabhai, was selected in the preliminary round where eleven schools participated. She is also the proud winner of the inter-school oratory competition. In the finals she spoke passionately about India's achievements in science and technology.
Dhanya bagged the first prize which had a cash prize of Rs.5000.

The Student council of Yagappa International School organised Renaissance ’21, the third Annual Inter-school Cultural Fest, on 23rd December 2021. This was the most awaited day for all the students of Yagappa. The student council published the official notification to the learners of Grades 6 to 8 regarding the gaming events and culturals a week in advance.
The auditorium had been set up in a grandeur arrangement. All the gates were covered with flowers and beautiful lights. To name a few of the exhilarating games were Chorus! Fashionista, Mood Swap, Family Feud and Fish Bowl.
The winners and runners were presented with trophies and certificates. The audience and the participants experienced a wonderful day and carried home cherishing moments to embrace upon.

B.Adithi of Grade 3 is the champion in the under 8 category in the Tamil Nadu State Level Tennis Tournament held in Golden Tennis Academy, Tirunelveli from 27.12.21 to 28.12.21. Congratulations Adithi ! Well done.

We were all children once. We all share the desire for the wellbeing of our
children, which has always been and will continue to be the most universally
cherished aspiration of humankind. A day marking childhood - Children’s day
celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. The day is celebrated to pay
tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, popularly known as ‘Chacha Nehru’.
The grand day, Children’s Day (14th November) was celebrated virtually this year.
It was a fun- filled day for our learners as they enjoyed different games and quiz
sessions with their classmates. They were buzzing with excitement and joy as it
was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated.

On 15th October 2021 Vijayadashami was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our campus.
Siddarth Swaminathan, member of the Student Council welcomed the gathering.
'A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step'.This Chinese proverb means that to
reach one's goal or destination one must take the first step towards achieving it.
On Vijayadashami our darling Pre-primary learners wrote the alphabet in sacred rice and
received gifts from our Director. Our loving toddlers began their journey of education on this
auspicious day. As rightly said by our Director, they will scale great heights in future.
The Golu decoration by the Student Council added charm to the ambience. The school choir
added melody to the occasion by singing classical songs. Meykandan of Grade 1 gave an
astounding speech on why the festival of Vijayadashami is celebrated. The occasion was graced by well wishers, grandparents, parents, faculty members, student council members and our darling learners of Pre-primary. It was a happy and memorable occasion for all of them who had gathered to celebrate the auspicious festival of Vijayadashami.

Teachers are the ladders who help students to reach their pinnacle in life. To
commemorate the services of the teaching community, the makers of the future
world, 4th September was celebrated as Teacher’s day. Teacher's Day is important for the students as it gives them a chance to understand the efforts put in by their teachers to ensure that they get a proper education. Similarly, teachers also look forward to the Teacher's Day celebration as their
efforts get recognised and honoured by students. Our diligent members of the student council did a commendable job in organising Teacher’s Day despite the challenges created by the pandemic.
Our learners of Grade XII beautifully portrayed their feelings and respect for all the teacher’s right from kindergarten up to secondary and the Academic Heads. It is truly believed that teachers are the true pillars of our success. They help us garner knowledge, improve our skills, grow confidence as well as they help us to choose the right path to success. Learners acknowledged the challenges, hardships, and the special role that teachers play in their lives during these pandemic times.

Fruits and vegetables are a good source of vitamins and minerals. Now, how to teach our little darling learners of Pre-primary about this fact ? The best way is to celebrate ' Farmers Day' and explain the importance of including fruits and vegetables in their daily diet. That's exactly what happened at Yagappa International School. A virtual 'Farmers Day' was celebrated on Monday 16th August 2021. The smart and energetic learners of Pre-primary stunned the audience with their cute speeches and rocking dances. They also made delicious salads . Our loving parents took so much efforts to set up a splendid backdrop and made attractive carvings out of fruits and vegetables.

Yagappa Schools celebrated the 75th Independence day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The chief guests for the day were not only Yagappaites of Yesteryears but they were the frontline warriors of the Covid pandemic. Yagappa School was proud to have Dr.Jenifer and Dr.Krithika from Thanjavur Medical College to hoist the National flag. The Chairman, Principals, teachers and students paid respects to the National Flag. The day resonated the feeling of patriotism in the campus.

This time she has made not only the school proud but the entire district of Thanjavur reverberates with her success story and are dumb stuck on how the child was able to make at this young age. Yagappa International school conducted an online inter-school chess tournament from July 28th to August 1. Around 50 participants from each school had enrolled in the event. Madhuranjan of class 10 (CBSE) secured the first place and Kalanithi of class 9 (CBSE) secured the second place in senior level. Nilavan of class 7 (CBSE) secured the first place and Sing Saai Naresh of Grade 5 (Cambridge) secured the second place in junior level. Trophies and certificates were awarded to the winners amidst the presence of the Director, Principal, Faculty members and parents of the prize winners.
